Ute Andrea Faber

was born in Altenkirchen/Westerwald. She studied painting, sculpture and art history in Berlin and Italy, where after ten years in marketing she has been working as a freelance artist since 1998.

“The world is bursting with color and constantly spurs me to be creative. My works incorporate everyday ‘treasures’ I have found or collected, which undergo an artistic transformation and appear in the paintings or sculptures in a new guise and imbued with new meaning.” The various objects that find their way into Ute Faber’s work series continue to evolve over the years. Familiar environments and the people who move within them are constantly changing.

Using color and form, Ute Faber imposes a new structure on this process of change, sometimes even reshaping it completely. She considers this process as important as the end result, and everything she puts into her works can be seen as an autobiographical relic.
